Conversations with Ego

Stairs into the swimming pool
I went to a pool with my friend who used to be a race swimmer. We jumped into the water and he cried: "So, show yourself, boy." I was quite confident in the water, but compared to him I was like half-drowned rabbit who ate an anvil.
"Quite good, you swim, little boy," he started with compliment not to completely destroy my self-confidence and then he continued: "The hands are terrible, you don't use your legs and the body should be stretched." And in that moment my ego spoke: ...

The superstition - the red ball curse

Pool balls
"It's like that with the red ball, it's the difficult one," you hear after you missed a shot in a pool game. "I struggled to score that one in the last game," observe a friend and it doesn't seem to do any harm. But...
Next time you aim at the red, your might hear a silent voice in the background repeating: "The difficult one." You start to sweat and your hand will tremble a bit and the more you try to suppress that the stronger it is. The prophecy got fulfilled itself because without knowing that it's hard to shot the red you would just play it without problems.

Personal development cannot be institutionalized

Jump - everyone has to jump their own way
Personal development is very ... personal. Each of us is unique personality with our own history and right now we are at our own personal position. It's like a computer game - SuperMario stands at the edge of an abyss and he has to jump. Thought you always press the same buttons the jumps would be different when Mario has to hit the stream of uplifting hot air and when he must catch a liana to swing down to the other end.
In your own life you have to recognize where you are and how to move forward. Someone would jump over the river, others will swim, hire the boat or go find the bridge. You might decide that you rather turn back and stay on your side of the stream.

Game of Association - Into the realm of Intuition

Whtie shinning rabbit of intuition
Successful and fortunate people have one characteristics in common. Their effort is awarded with results because they take the correct action in the right moment. Their courage sources in experience and knowledge, but that is often not enough to succeed. Their hidden treasure is the trust in their intuition.

Motivational thoughts

Motivational thoughts vector art
Some people seem to be fueled by bursting source of energy, they seem to be able to accomplish anything and they are always smiling. These people are inspiration for others and nothing seems impossible for them. What gives these people so much enthusiasm, fervor and joy? What engines their smile and why they manage to succeed where others struggle or fail. The answer is usually very simple - they are in peace with themselves, believe in their ability to overcome any obstacle and their relaxed zest helps them to connect to their intuition and live to their highest potential. See what can burst your motivation.

Synchronicity - was it attracted or did I not notice before

Face of an angel bringing coincidentally what we need
From time to time it happens. You learn about something completely new and the next day you saw the same (recently unknown topic) somewhere else. Was it just coincidence? Did we really attract what we needed from the universe or did our subconsciousness guided us to the correct answer we needed. Or was the thing always there and just at a moment we were ready we noticed?
I don't know the answer to these questions, but you know, I don't care. Whenever there's something we need, it appears. When you start asking questions, you will receive answer.

William Whitecloud - The Last Shaman

Would you like to know what is right for you? Would you like to avoid danger and even know when you can pull the lion's hair without fear? Are you interested in knowing what the others are thinking and what to do for their and your best interest? Then let's read the latest book of African-Australian writer William Whitecloud - The Last Shaman.
Life is supposed to be magical adventure filled with joy and unimaginable miracles. Unfortunately we often evade the pleasures which are prepared for us. We don't listen to our instincts, we dismiss advices of our inner voice and rather act reasonably. It's foolish but logical.
Key topics: Intuition, Innocence, Expectations versus Reality, Vibration, Subconsciousness

Anger is the lighthouse to cut the anchor off

martinah - underwater; cut off the anchor which bound you to unhappiness
I used to hate when I was upset. It was so embarrassing that me a person so optimistic and nice could be angry or mad about something usually quite unimportant. It bothered me a lot until one day. In a moment a pleasant time turned into a nightmare and I had to focus hard to remain pleasant to others. If it wasn't for one kind girl I might have spoiled the evening. I started to ask - Why? I decided to get rid of the behavior I didn't like.
To my greatest wonder the next day I've picked a video on youtube, from millions which are there, this gave me a key I needed to solve my problem. Christie Sheldon spoke in it about vibrations behind our emotion and I realized how helpful is to be upset because thanks to anger we can quickly improve our lives. If we decide to do so ...

Paul Watzlawick - How Real Is Real?

After reading Watzlawick's 'How real is real?' you might make a conclusion that it is impossible to communicate. That much more common is confusion or misunderstanding. It's not speakers fault that he would speak incomprehensibly nor there's fault on receiver 's side having problems to understand. Most of the people would blame their conversational partner but the reason is that each of us understand the reality differently
To illustrate it let's bring back a story from UK in the months after the end of WWII. Hundreds of American soldiers waited in the kingdom before they returned home and spent the time by chasing British girls. Strangely both sided accused the other from being too eager to have sex. How could both groups want sex more and be unhappy about it?

You never have just one option

Gwanwyn by Martina Hvojnikova - desire, noble idea, intuition, achievement
Recently we you can have read about compassionate communication (non-violent communication, NVC) a concept that behind all our feelings (transferred into our actions) is what we need or desire. We don't feel angry because someone came late but because we appreciate punctuality or we don't want to waste limited time. Recently I realized there is more to non-violent communication and that we has to understand our need in depth not to fall into another trap.
Key topics: Feelings, Needs, Focus-Attention, Intuition

The Silva Method

It was some 15 years ago when as I was studying some auto hypnosis techniques I ran across a book of Mexican researcher Jose Silva who wanted to make studying easier for his children. Marshall Rosenberg: Non-violent communication (recommended reading)

If I were to choose a single book which should be obligatory reading in school the winner would be Marshall Rosenberg's Non-Violent Communication - A Language of Life. It would be the only book on the compulsory list and recommended to be read every year. Why? Rosenberg teaches in it how to achieve our desires and avoid violence.

It's achieved by someone stupid enough not to know it's impossible

Impossible until someone doesn't know it
I recently went to a concert of Australian guitar player Tommy Emmanuel. Since he stepped on the stage everyone in the crowd seemed to be perplexed how only does he manage to play so well. Tommy can play pieces which are so difficult that other bands have two guitarist to play the same. How is he doing that?

Clemens Kuby – Inspiring Healer

Clemens Kuby - German writting about self healing
Broken neck usually changes one’s life for worse though in the case Clemens Kuby it was the opposite. His life started only after he fell down from the roof top and was taken to the hospital with a diagnose that he will never walk again. For Clemens it was a sign; he did not trust the doctors and in 3 months left the ward  walking and filled with newly found life purpose.

Beliefs limiting our opportunities

Beliefs limiting opportunities
People sometimes think that they don’t have enough opportunities to improve their lives. But is it really truth? Can it be that we are stuck in a world where the opportunities are hidden and if we only open our eyes there would be plenty of chances to change our living? I heard an interesting story about coffee producers from Uganda. They limited their profit just because they did not understand what they were selling.
